Uplift of the crater floor and perched lake within Pu'uO'o are continuing and cracking is becoming obvious on the crater floor, with incandescence within the cracks at night. Minor lava activity is going on in the Puka Nui and MLK pits, from sources along the southern edge of the crater floor. However, lava has not yet topped the crater rim. The lava lake, fed continuously by a source beneath the northeast edge, remains perched in the center of the crater floor. The latest measurements (July 21st) revealed that it was about 18 metres and the lava lake surface 7-8 metres below the E rim of Pu'u 'O'o.

Meantime, lava is still quite high within the Halema'uma'u pit crater, as can be seen on the screenshot here below that shows a new arrival of lava on the surface of the lake.
